Campus ID Card

*Special Note for Fall 2020

 

As a result of the campus closure due to health concerns surrounding COVID-19, the Office of Student Life will not be issuing student ID cards for Fall 2020.  This also applies for School of Extended Learning.

 

If you require a student ID card for a specific, verifiable reason, you must present your reasoning and justification to Amy Collins via email at collinsa@sbcc.edu.  These request will be reviewed and cards will be issued on a case-by-case basis.

The Campus Card is your SBCC picture ID card which may be used as a cash card for select campus services.

You can use it to pay for the following items and at the following locations:

  • The Campus Bookstore
  • All food service venues
  • Printing in on-campus computer labs
  • Pay for Library fines
  • Copy machines at the Luria Library

 

Get your picture taken and receive your card in the Office of Student Life on the second floor of the Campus Center (CC) building. (campus map)


Online:

  1. Login to your Pipeline account.
  2. Click on the Student tab and from the list select "Campus Card".
  3. Under "Account" you will see the FLEX category in which to place funds:
    • The FLEX account covers all services that accept the Campus card.
    • Click the Add Money link and follow the prompts to make a deposit.

On Campus:
Go to the Campus Card ATM in the Campus Center (CC) (campus map) or to the Luria Library entrance (West Campus). Add value using cash ($1 minimum) or with a credit or debit card ($10 minimum). The Campus Card ATM can also tell you if the card you are using is the most current card (if you have had multiple cards) these machines will not recognize the card if it is not the current "active" card.

 

 

You will need to cancel the lost or stolen card then get a new one. Login to your Campus Card account through Pipeline, then click on "cancel your card." You can receive a new card at the Office of Student Life.

Possible scenarios:

  • No money has been deposited on your account.

 

The credit cards accepted are Visa and MasterCard. To ensure that your deposit goes through click on the 'Make Deposit' button on the lower right hand of the Deposit Confirmation screen. Once the deposit goes through you will receive an e-mail confirmation in your pipeline account.

Possible scenarios:

  • Magnetic Strip on back of Campus Card has been de-magnetized.
    - Take the card to the Office of Student Life (campus map).and have it re-encoded.
  • Campus Card presented may not be the active card.
    - Did you get a replacement card? Only the NEWEST ID card is active and can be used in the Campus Card system. If you are unsure which card is active, go to the Office of Student Life, present card(s) to staff and have a new ID card issued.
  • A student accidentally reported his/her card lost or stolen via the web, 'freezing' use of card.
    - Please contact Card Administrator.

Refunds will be provided, with the following conditions:
If an Email request by the cardholder is sent to helpdesk@sbcc.edu (include Full Name, K number and current mailing address) AND the student cardholder graduates, withdraws, or is dismissed from the college, employee cardholder terminates employment, AND refund amount is greater than $1.00, after mandatory $10.00 fee is charged against the remaining balance.

Additional Information:
Books and merchandise purchased using Campus Card will be refunded to the cardholder account according to the existing Bookstore refund policy. Refunds are not available at the Campus Card ATM in the Campus Center. Refund checks are written in the name of the account holder and mailed to the address provided in the email request. An account will be closed automatically when a student is no longer registered. Employee accounts are closed on the last day of employment with the college. Any remaining balance in accounts automatically closed may be forfeited to the college.
